YHC Campus Cupboard hosts community food distribution
Young Harris, GA (11/04/2025) — A community food distribution will be Wednesday, Nov. 12, at 5:30 p.m. at the Campus Cupboard, Young Harris College's new food bank.
The Campus Cupboard, located in the middle of the YHC campus, was recently established as a campus food pantry to serve both students and the local community. The distribution point will be set up on Duckworth Street, just past Sharp Memorial Church, as you pull into the campus.
"We are so excited to offer this resource, not only to our Mountain Lions here at YHC, but for the local community as well," said Rev. Adam Daniels, YHC Campus Chaplain. "The pantry is located on campus and open to the students throughout the semester. We will also have monthly community distribution dates for the local area."
More distribution dates will be scheduled and announced for 2026.
"This is a great opportunity to reach out to the local community in support," Daniels said. "It provides much-needed relief for those struggling right now. With everything else, you shouldn't have to be worried about having something to eat."
