MEDIA ALERT: YHC closes Friday due to winter storm

Young Harris, GA (01/09/2025) — The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for all of north Georgia, including Young Harris, from Friday morning through Saturday morning. Snow is expected to start falling tomorrow morning and continue into the evening, with potential accumulations of multiple inches.

Based on this, Young Harris College will be closed on Friday, Jan. 10, for all but essential services.

All members of the YHC community are encouraged to complete preparations for the coming storm by the end of today and to avoid travel tomorrow if possible.
