Learn about the connection between God and science at YHC planetarium

by Steve Esser

Young Harris, GA (07/08/2026) — Curious about the connection between God and science? Swing by Young Harris College's O. Wayne Rollins Planetarium Aug. 28 for God, Science and Our Search for Meaning.

God, Science & Our Search for Meaning

Friday, Aug. 28 @ 8 p.m.

Written and narrated by international bestselling author Dan Brown and produced by the Museum of Science, Boston, this show presents a one-of-a-kind exploration of humankind's oldest questions, offers exciting new possibilities, and unveils the startling interplay between science and religion as they both strive to illuminate our deepest mysteries.

And, before leaving, complete a brief survey with a chance to win an astronomical prize and contribute to Planetarium Director Lauren Albin's research study on joy, wonder, and awe in astronomy.

O. Wayne Rollins Planetarium features shows for the general public on select Friday evenings. Tickets for shows can be purchased at the door with cash or check. Tickets can also be purchased online via Eventbrite by visiting the following link: https://www.yhc.edu/community/planetarium/

Purchasing tickets online in advance is recommended, since planetarium shows often sell out. Observatory open houses do not require tickets.

For planetarium shows, guests are encouraged to arrive early for the best seats. Public planetarium shows, with the exception of Cosmic Concerts, include a live-narrated "season stargazing" segment in addition to the featured full-dome program.

Planetarium Admission

  • $5 Adults per show
  • $3 Children per show
  • Free for Children under 4 years of age
  • Free with YHC ID

Any remaining tickets will be available for purchase at the door 30 minutes prior to showtime.
